The Room Is Open

There is a lamp on. Low, amber, slightly dramatic. The kind of light that makes everything look more intentional than it probably is.

The cat is in the corner, pretending not to care. I am at my desk checking analytics like a woman in a film who has either solved a murder or become the problem.

Traffic is climbing. Subscribers are appearing. Tiny numbers on a screen, yes. But also not tiny at all.

Behind every click is someone who found their way here. Stayed a little. Maybe laughed. Maybe judged. Maybe subscribed before they could talk themselves out of it.
